Thank you for choosing to create something beautiful with SHEL Fine Jewelry.
Every bespoke piece we make is designed to reflect your story, your style, and your energy. Below is an overview of how the process works — simple, transparent, and made with love.

1. Design Initiation — $1,500 Deposit

To begin your custom journey, a non-refundable $1,500 design deposit is required.
This secures your place in our design queue and covers the creative concept and initial design work.
After your deposit, we’ll schedule your one-hour design consultation (in person or virtual) to explore your ideas, aesthetic, and materials.
Your deposit is applied toward the total cost of your finished piece.

2. Design Refinement — 50% Payment

Once your concept is approved, our team will create a mock-up of your design and one round of refinements to make sure it feels just right.
From there, we’ll provide a final CAD rendering if need be for your written approval before we move into production.
At this stage, the 50% project payment (minus your deposit) is due.
Any major changes after final CAD approval will require a formal change order and additional fees.

3. Production & Completion — Final 50%

Once your piece is complete, we’ll send final photos or schedule a pickup viewing.
The remaining 50% balance is due before shipping or collection.
Final balances must be paid within 14 business days of completion.
Applicable sales tax will be added to all invoices.

Heirloom Projects

We are deeply honored when clients trust us with heirloom stones and sentimental materials.
While we handle each with the utmost care, due to their age and natural characteristics, SHEL Fine Jewelry cannot be held liable for damage such as chipping, cracking, or metal fatigue that may occur during resetting.
We recommend securing fine-jewelry insurance through your homeowner’s or individual policy to protect against loss, theft, or damage throughout the process.
